  • 7000 mega bits

  • The editor looks like casey neistat

  • I have the 970 pro in my gaming pc build from a year ago. He's giving pro tips on this one. Everyone knows SSDs are the single most performance boosting thing you can do to a pc. And Samsung so far is the best.

  • This video was painful to watch...should have added the ssd to the motherboard. Sabrent 2TB Rocket NVMe PCIe M.2 is way faster.

  • your motherboard only support PCIe 3.0, it's a waste to use 980pro, 970 evo is enough

  • more faster and more expensive my bank acc: dont think about it

  • so I currently have the Samsung 970 Evo 1tb NVMe. If I upgrade to the 980 Pro 500gb would it be faster? or my !Tb of the 970 evo will be faster?

  • where did u get that lamp on ur desk

  • Trash, stop promoting this expensive shit/ get 970 evo plus, lot more cheaper and almost same speed.

  • "But hopefully the average consumer understands and that's why the name..." haha I hear you Jud. If only people followed

  • Not possible to somehow add it on laptop right?

  • Download RAM

  • I wanna get one of these sticks for ma laptop. Don't know if ma laptop got the slot doe. Acer nitro 5 AN515-42 model

  • Dude stop making ads and calling them videos

  • Samsung does almost everything

  • yo u cannot determine the actual speed of this ssd with ur system because u are using an older intel xe cpu which does not even support gen 4 ssd so u could have just popped in a gen 3 drive in here and still edit on that machine

  • Jesus christ how did samsung manage to get 7 gbps on a tiny ssd

  • A small detail: I love the music in the background which has been in Jud's video for a while now.

  • How in the hell didn’t you already have a nvme M.2 in your pc? Like with all the stuff that you have???

  • Kyleodell

  • Kyleodell

  • Hit up Sony and ask them what type of SSD we need 😭

  • My bank account hates you.

  • This makes me wonder. Why does most youtube tech reviewer have their own Chinese video editor? E,g, Linus, UnboxTheraphy, UrAvgConsumer

  • Also you should consider if your PC supports PCIE Gen 4. As the drive is a Gen4 drive, that’s why it reaches 7000mbs. Otherwise you will be running at the speed your pc support = a bit slower (around 3500mbs. Btw great video. Just thought I would let anyone know

  • What is the name of the background music?

  • This video is horrible. Beautifully edited but you sound like you have no idea why you made this. Explain why someone should use an ssd (boot/loading times) and they why they should use an nvme (how much faster(transfer speeds/render times). Why should I get an nvme over an ssd? I know but other viewers may not. You didn't tell them until the last 2 min.

  • I'm only curious about this because its rumored that the PS5 is going to be compatible with this via a future system update. I hope so.

  • J is the camera shy person just like me😛❤

  • Most the SSD is good but it won't make that much of a noticeable difference to some cheaper m.2 ssd's. You'd get a much better performance increase with a better cpu with more cores and threads.

  • Felt like an advert. No comment on price or value. Or any downsides? I assume I now have to follow the affiliate link to find out I can’t afford it.

  • Nice 👍

  • Is this backwards compatible with PCIE gen 3 slots?

  • So that's j

  • His every video is an ad that’s the reason he is not getting views and growth is stopped.

  • Jud, I've got to say man. I love your content but these sponsored videos are taking over your channel

  • I wanna juice a MacBook

  • I feel like this mans really dk much about computers

  • hey where is the littel man cave vid that u said in ur smart home vid

  • how can I use this as a ram drive instead of a HDD

  • if you dont like this being a sponsored video then dont watch it... how pathetic and feeble minded people have become that they complain about watching a video that they clicked on and act as if they cannot stop playing.

  • Nice

  • Great vid man, that's awesome and I'm glad that this was a way different promotion to a product, better than that Samsung portable ssd video that you uploaded last week

  • It started with no Ads😄

  • I got a ray of hope when I saw the title but then when I opened it and saw that the video was a advertisement for Samsung I unsubscribed.

  • Also did you have to install the premiere pro on the ssd?

  • Did you have to transfer your operating system to the ssd? and how did you do that if you did

  • Been subscribed for a few years and finally got around to building a pc. And parts your willing to give away will really help. Thank u and Ari

  • happy hard selling stuff!

  • Gamers benefit ZERO from an ssd like this its super overkill, it maybe boots into windows or a game a seconds faster. A regular sata is plenty or maybe a pcie3.0 if theyre the same price

  • To the people complaining that it’s an ad, YES IT IS. He literally says it in the video and in the description.

    • I´m going to be hard on this: The fact he says it´s an Ad because he says it´s a sponsored video doesn´t mean he should bend over. Usually this means that they highlight good features about a product without straight up lies. e.g. "it will make loading games faster". You say "faster" when you compare _A_ to _B_ (or _A_ to 25 other letters) which lacks here. There are good sponsored videos (like LTT´s for example, where he tells you the advantages without liying) and really bad sponsored ones (like this)

    • It’s true, and I love uravgconsumer, but I’m getting tired of seeing ads for companies.

  • this is no way justified in price for the average consumer, which is supposed to be the point of this channel. if you want performance, you're better off with the 970 evo and gamers won't even notice the speed difference. the 980 pro is for prosumers, which edit high-res videos and then you should be using 1TB or higher.

  • its becoming ur richer consumer not ur avg consumer

  • That gen4 ssd will not be running at its full speed in that pc... Its an intel build and intel doesn't support pcie gen4 You need AMD for that...

  • Everyone’s doing those product placement videos this time of year damn

  • Finally j's face reveal lol 🤣

  • How is he so rich and has an awesome house but has not that many subscribers

  • bro whats the price

  • Soooooo no more massive tech unboxing? If that’s the case imma be rly sad 😢

  • Just bought a 970 Evo plus 500GB today lol

  • Unless you built your PC 5 years ago. Then you're sol

  • Can anyone make a petition for these ESmainrs to not make these ad videos. We understand everyone's gotta earn their bread and butter but daaaamn.. It's getting out of hand now and I really don't want to unfollow them. Please don't drift away from where y'all came from. If it's an ad video just state so in the title but then again who'd wanna watch that then and that just flat out s**ks cuz it's not gonna stop.

  • Hey, what you think indian Farmers Protest. @

  • You ain’t even taking advantage of pcie 4.0 bro wth

  • Another your not so average consumer video

  • What did he sayyyyyyy

  • i Have this one, when i change was a huge changeee

  • Just upgraded from my ssd to a Nvme. Feels nice

  • It's so fun watching Jud and J interact

  • 2:43 I get it, Premiere is doing a smooth playback at full, but by that time you need to check/show the task manager how much SSD power in terms of MBs is being used. If it is around 3k to 4k MBs most people are good with 970 EVO NVMe.Cause in many use cases, PC almost don't require 7k to 8k MBs speeds. Any way you are advertising this 980 Pro model that's fine. Just educating the people. Peace ✌️

  • I can only afford the "inland" brand from microcenter

  • 500GB that’s just windows and WARZONE bro

  • Hey jud, Why are you not doing massive tech inboxings now??😔😔

  • Try it in your ps5 for us.

  • What am I doing here. I don’t even own a PC

  • 500 gigs. 1TB is the sweet spot. Add another 2 TB M.2 in the motherboard for storage like games. It's not expensive and the next best thing to a PCI lane.

    • Not expensive? Compared to what? 🤨

  • Dude made a 7 min video... avout a ssd? ...

  • Hmmm question, isnt editing and drop fps all that, doesnt that depend on the GPU...

    • I think a large portion of it, yes.

  • Plz do a new set up tour because I am thinking about upgrading mine and I need some tips

    • See also the ESmain channels Bitwit, LinusTechTips, & Gamer'sNexus for PC related videos. 😄

  • Asian doing your editing, lol!

  • I usually really like your videos but this one just seem like an ad and can be misleading as to what users can expect. Everyone agrees that using an ssd grants some serious speed gains when compared to a mechanical hard drive but pushing regular users toward high end nvme gen 4 ssds is not worth it for the cost. You could have suggested other ssds also offered by samsung that make way more sense for regular users. Also, the video editing section of the video with no reference as to specs or base performance also looked staged. I hope that these kind of videos wont become the new standard and wish reviewers could take an approach similar to what Linus does be recommending hardware to specific user groups and basically setting real expectations.

  • So so so true. I have the conceptD 7 and my goodness it loads everything fast. Media, games you name it!

  • Did you use the man cave computer thing for this video

  • I'm not trying to hate on Jud because he's a really cool dude, but the whole "Average Consumer" thing fell off a long time ago when he started showing us super high end tech. He's got thousands and thousands of dollars worth of tech in the main shot, not to mention the Logitech x Herman Miller Embody chair that's $1500, and a gaming chair that's probably $300-600. I doubt being a married man and a highly successful youtuber that he spends very much time on his PC, let alone streaming and he's got 2 Elgato Keylight Airs, plus some ridiculous camera/lens combo that's probably $1000+. I know you start off small and average and you grow, but man it seems like you spends tons and tons of money on tech (or its sent to you) and then you review stuff that's in the upper 5% of people's budgets. Not Average at all. I stopped watching his channel as much as I used to when he started doing his amazon tech hauls that sometimes include thousands of dollars of tech.

  • Is this a commercial?

  • is it noticeably faster than the 970 evo plus?

    • I'm curious too... it's what I bought on Cyber Monday for my first pc build.

  • What chair does he have ? (The white one)

  • J looks like casey neistat lol

  • Now if you want to get the full speed of this SSD you will need an AMD based rig due to the fact that Intel motherboards do not have PCIE 4.0 support yet.

  • Uravgconsumer is now mystupid consumer

  • SSD's have existed for a long time. Don't let the consoles hype them up. SSD's have been the standard in mid-high end PCs for the past years. Nobody cares anymore. Samsungs older ssds are fast enough.

  • 7:21 minutes ad

  • Bruh... 7 min of SSD content? I know its a sponsored video but.. come on

  • What if I need to upgrade the boot drive

    • @Fatal Well an external storage drive is always a good idea for back-ups or other things. Also, I use two normal SSDs and to transfer from a 128gb to a 1tb I think I installed Windows on the 1tb, then transferred everything else, then reformatted the smaller drive. Might be an easier way, but you can get a 5tb external portable HDD for about $100 and move data around that way. 😅

    • @MegaMan X I know that, but I have a m2 Sata that I want upgrade to nvme that I don’t to lose anything in the transfer. My MOBO only has one (pcie x 4 + sata) m.2 port.

    • NVMe M.2 drives are a faster SSD and are typically used as the Boot Drive. 😄

  • Honestly don't like doing this but this was a waste of time. It lacked the information that "Your Average Consumer" would find useful. NVMe M.2 may not be present on a lot of "average" computers and if it is it may be an older version. While you'll find a speed boost with an M.2 in order to get close to the speeds quoted in this video, not seen or tested, you need a system that supports PCI express 4.0 which is fairly new. Does this mean those with an M.2 slot on a slightly older system should overlook installing an M.2 drive? No! You totally should as it will give you a performance boost while giving your system a new life! However, this drive is overkill and a waste if you're planning to update in the next few months.

  • It's not up for sale yet?

  • Are you going to stream?

  • Let’s go j ( he has to be on the cam more often)

  • nice my system is full samsung evo 840 and evo 850 and evo 960 but this is expensive for me xD i can't afford it

  • I love your work keep doing what you do👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👍🏾
